I bought an Homepod today. It’s the second time I get into an Apple center, btw. It’s quite cool as my (also) new Apple TV 4K can use the Homepod as its audio output. The sound is fairly well-balanced (though the bass is a bit heavy at times) and spatialization is really good – I wonder if using two such devices would improve the overall feeling of immersion. When I use it as my audio output from my MacBook, I’ll get full control from my iPhone as well. Ah, and it comes with temperature and humidity sensors. My previous setup was based on an old Apple TV connected to a DAC with an optical cable.
