2026-09-22: I bought an Homepod today. It’s the second time I get into an Apple center, btw.It’s quite cool as my (also) new Apple TV 4K can use the Homepod as its audiooutput. The sound is fairly well-balanced (though the bass is a bit heavy attimes) and spatialization is really good – I wonder if using two such deviceswould improve the overall feeling of immersion. When I use it as my audio outputfrom my MacBook, I’ll get full control from my iPhone as well. Ah, and it comeswith temperature and humidity sensors. My previous setup was based on an oldApple TV connected to a DAC with an optical cable.
